Republican President Edgar Lungu
The Islamic Supreme Council of Zambia says President Edgar Lungu is so far proving to the people that he is a leader ordained by God to lead the country.
Council President Suzyo Zimba says President Lungu has not shown excitement of being President but is steady and calm in the way he is doing things citing that this is good for the country.
Mr. Zimba says President Lungu has also demonstrated willingness to unite the country and all meaningful Zambians should support him.
He notes that people criticizing President Lungu are just doing it for the sake of doing so stressing that this should not be the case.
Mr. Zimba says so far the President has done well and done as is expected of him there months in the office of the president.
He has further advised President Lungu to work hard and unite the people of Zambia and prove those criticizing him wrong.
