Zayn Malik thanks One Direction

ZAYN Malik cut a relaxed figure on Friday as he braved his first red-carpet appearance since making the decision to quit One Direction.

The former 1D singer rocked up to the Asian Awards in London with his mum Trisha and was all smiles and no hair as he debuted a bold new look.

Zayn had every reason to be happy as he was to pick up the Outstanding Achievement in Music accolade.

Clearly a proud moment for Perrie Edwards‘ fiancé, he made sure to honour Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson in his acceptance speech.

He said: “I’d like to thank my mum and dad, and I’d also like to take this moment to thank four of the best guys I’ve ever met – everything I’ve done with them will stay with me for the rest of my life.”

The touching tribute comes as rumours Zayn’s planning to return to The X Factor band whom he enjoyed five years of worldwide success with remain rife.

Zayn’s decision to arrive on the arm of his mother at the recent event as opposed to his Little Mix partner was a telling clue for Directioners.

“He’s not with Perrie or Naughty Boy, he’s with his mother and Prestonn please be a sign he will be back pleasee. I cried,” one fan tweeted.

“Zayn Malik will come back one day can’t wait it guys,” another commented.
