Chief Chikanta displeased by people insulting President Lungu

Chief Chikanta of the Tonga people in southern province has registered his displeasure over people who have continued to insult President Edgar Lungu.

Chief Chikanta says Zambians have given President Lungu the mandate to lead the country therefore he deserves to respected and encouraged by all well meaning Zambians.

He says much as some people would not agree with President Lungu’s way of doing things, there is always a better way of speaking out and not resorting to insulting the Head of State.

Chief Chikanta says there is need for people to learn to criticize positively and not resorting to insults.

The traditional leader says the fact is that President Lungu is now Head of State and that whether people like him or not, they have no option but to respect him.

He has further encouraged President Lungu to concentrate on his work and ignore those insulting him.
