Stanbic bank has donated a total sum of K50 thousand towards the holding of this year’s Law Association of Zambia (LAZ) Annual General Meeting.
Speaking during the official handover of the K50 000 cheque in Lusaka today, Stanbic Bank acting Chief Executive Officer Mukwandi Chibesakunda explained that sponsoring the LAZ Annual General Meeting is one way her bank supports the legal fraternity in Zambia.
Ms. Chibesakunda says Stanbic Bank is fully aware that without such support, business operations and contribution to the economy would be a challenge in the country.
She notes that this is because compliance would be difficult to enforce and that Stanbic Bank is thus grateful for the efforts LAZ makes in ensuring that the law is adhere to across all business houses in Zambia.
And LAZ president George Chisanga has thanked Stanbic bank for the donation.
Mr. Chisanga says the K50, 000 will go a long in enabling LAZ meet its budget requirements for its Annual General Meeting and Conference to be held next week.
He says LAZ is pleased to continue enjoying such a relationship with the Bank, describing it as a smart partnership of benefit.
