Government has refuted claims by former Zambia’s Ambassador to Libya Mulondwe Muzungu that the PF government has sidelined North Western Province in terms of development.

Information and Broadcasting Services Deputy Minister Forrie Tembo has told Qfm News that the statement by Mr. Muzungu who is UPND Chairperson for International Relations is misplaced and lacks truth.

Mr. Tembo points out that the 20.5 kilometers township roads project in Solwezi District is one of the ongoing projects in the province.

He says contractors on various projects in Kasempa, Zambezi, Chavuma and Mufumbwe are mobilizing themselves to get back to work as the rainy season is coming to an end.

He has further pointed out that Special Assistant to the President for Project Monitoring and Implementation Lucky Mulusa was also recently in the province to inspect various projects which include the Solwezi – Chingola road.

Mr. Tembo adds that the 720 kilometers power line project from Katimamulilo to Kalumbila mine is also creating connection to the north western province.

He states that government is taking development to all parts of the country North Western Province inclusive.
