Political Activist Dante Saunders has encouraged opposition political parties that took part in the Chawama, Masaiti and Senga hill parliamentary by elections not to give up.

Mr. Saunders says political parties should instead get back to the drawing board and see how they can do better.

He states that their loss in the by-elections does not mark the end for them.

Mr. Saunders says political parties should not dwell so much on the outcome of the by-elections but start preparing for the 2016 general elections.

He adds that opposition political parties should not use the outcome of the by-election feel they will lose the 2016 elections.

Mr. Saunders has further congratulated the ruling Patriotic Front for scooping the three parliamentary seats and has also commended the political parties that took part for conducting themselves in a peaceful manner.

Meanwhile Mr. Saunders has commended President Edgar Lungu for the appointments he has made at the Electoral Commission of Zambia.

He says the appointment of Gender Activist Emily Sikazwe as commissioner at ECZ is good for the civil society organizations.
