Works on Link Zambia-8000 project have not stalled – Mukanga

Transport, Works, Supply, and Communications Minister Yamfwa Mukanga has dismissed assertions that government has run out of money to implement the Link Zambia-8000 Road Project.

Mr. Mukanga says most of the works on the roads under the Link-Zambia-8000 are ongoing and that he is hopeful they will be completed on time.

He acknowledges that government had a few challenges the reason why some projects are not moving as expected.

Mr. Mukanga says government has always had money and that reports that money has run out should be dismissed.

Mr. Mukanga’s comment comes in the wake of revelations by stakeholders that most of the road projects under the Link Zambia-8000 have stalled because government has no money.
