Republican President Edgar Lungu
The Zambia Direct Democratic Movement (ZDDM) says it is overwhelmed and fade up with the continued ridicule and insults on President Lungu by some sections of the media.
ZDDM Vice President Charles Kafumbo says the media must remember that the President is the Head of State who should be respected by any meaningful Zambian and not insulting him and always writing negative things about him every now and then.
Mr. Kafumbo notes that the media should also realize that it is the role to build the nation and unite the people hence they should try to be professional in carrying out their duties citing that the publications by some sections of the media are shameful.
He adds that President Lungu was elected by the people of Zambia and thus anyone who insults him, insults even the people that elected him.
Mr. Kafumbo further states that the media should be careful with what they write as it has the potential to destroy the country’s image to the outside world.
