Siamunene counsels motorists

Transport, Works, Supply and Communications Deputy Minister Richwell Siamunene has advised motorists to realize that roads are a dangerous environment and are not playing fields.

Mr. Siamunene says motorists should be careful and alert on the roads to avoid accidents which have continued to occur.

He says it is sad that some motorists want to use roads as a playing field and in many instances end up in accidents.

He notes that it is sad that the country has continued to lose precious lives on roads which in some instances would have been avoided.

Mr. Siamunene says road users both motorists and pedestrians should always observe traffic rules citing that it is for their own good and the country has a whole.

He further states that government regrets the continued road accidents being witnessed in the country stating that road accidents should be reduced at all costs.
