New Attorney General Likando Kalaluka has been counseled to always remember that as legal adviser to government he still has an obligation to serve the interest of the Zambian people.

Renowned lawyer Sakwiba Sikota has advised Mr.Kalaluka to realize that as Attorney General he is now in a peculiar situation in that he has to be loyal to both the government and the people of Zambia.

Mr Sikota has also echoed President Edgar Lungu’s caution to Mr. Kalaluka against being partisan in executing his duties.

Mr. Sikota has told Qfm News by telephone that much as Mr. Kalaluka has sufficient knowledge to hold the position of chief legal adviser to the government, he should enrich his knowledge by consulting widely in executing his duties.

Mr. Sikota states that by being consultative in his work, the Attorney General will be aggregating to the experience he already has by drawing upon the experience of others.

He has since advised that Mr. Kalaluka takes advantage of the pool of experience from the country’s State Counsels.
