The Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia (EFZ) has appealed to political parties taking part in the April 14th by elections in Chawama, Masaiti and Senga Hills constituencies to desist from acts of violence and continue conducting themselves in a peaceful manner.

EFZ Executive Director Pukuta Mwanza has commended the political parties for the manner in which they have conducted their campaigns so far.

Reverend Mwanza says this will allow the electorates to vote without fear or intimidation.

Reverend Mwanza adds that the peaceful conduct by political parties should go beyond the day of the by-elections.

He says the church will continue to pray for peace and that God gives the areas that will be having by elections leaders that will help their constituencies develop and not serve their own desires as the case has been in some instances.

Reverend Mwanza has further advised the electorates in constituencies that will be holding by-elections not to allow themselves to be cheated, but vote for someone they are sure will represent them effectively and will help improve their livelihoods.
