David Beckham lands another important role as ‘godfather to best friend Dave Gardner and partner Liv Tyler’s son’

DAVID Beckham has landed some important roles in his life, from captain of the England football team, to Victoria Beckham‘s husband.

And now it looks like he can add the title ‘godfather’ to his list as close friends Liv Tyler and Dave Gardner are rumoured to want him as one for their eight-week-old son, Sailor.

As reported by The Sun, the dad-of-four is top of the new parent’s shortlist – and we can hardly blame them.

A source said: “Becks and Dave are close pals and go back years. They speak to each other all the time and their families are well connected.

“They were best men for each other’s weddings so are involved in their major events.”

And with a high profile football, fashion and modelling career behind him, we’re guessing a man this well connected is the perfect choice of life guide for just about any toddler.

Dave knows Becks will always be a great influence for his kids,” the insider added.

“He’s the perfect choice.”

We mean, who WOULDN’T want David Beckham as their godfather?
