President Lungu arrives in Mbala

Republican President Edgar Lungu is in Mbala district to drum up support for PF parliamentary candidate in the Senga Hill by-election Kapembwa Simbao.

President Lungu who left aboard a Zambia Air Force Plane at 13:30 hours at City Airport is also expected to commission the Lunzua Hydro-power project in Mpulungu.

President Lungu who is accompanied by Education Minister Michael Kaingu and his Special Assistant for Press and Public Relations Amos Chanda will hold series of rallies in Mbala to drum up support for Mr Simbao.

He was seen off by the Republican Vice President Inonge Wina, Justice Minister Dr. Ngosa Simbyakula, Community Development Mother and Child Health Minister Emerine Kabanshi, Defense Chiefs and other senior government and party officials.

President Lungu is expected to return to Lusaka over the weekend.
