European Union Head of delegation to Zambia Gilles Hervio
European Union Head of delegation to Zambia Gilles Hervio says of the 27 African countries benefiting from the EU MDG initiative, Zambia has received the largest contributions totaling about 50million Euros.
Mr. Hervio notes with concern that Zambia is still facing serious challenges in reaching the MDG’S in particular the reduction of maternal and child mortality.
Mr. Hervio says it is in this regard that there is urgent need to quickly make changes to help save lives of mothers and babies in Zambia.
He explains that the changes should not just end at the end of EU programmes in Zambia but should continue through the Zambian government and its own resources and ensure quality service delivery is given to the people at all costs.
