Wina visits late Mulimba’s funeral house

Vice president Inonge Wina this morning visited the funeral house of the late veteran politician Lavu Mulimba at his farm in Lusaka west.

While at the funeral house Ms. Wina paid tribute to the late Mr. Mulimba for his contribution to the country’s national development since independence.

Ms. Wina has appealed to the mourners to remain united in love as they prepare to put the late Mr. Mulimba to rest.

And family spokesperson of the bereaved family Ronald Mponda has thanked President Edgar Lungu and the Patriotic Front government for sending a message of condolences to the family and for providing logistical support during the mourning period.

Mr. Mponda has also thanked the vice president for personally visiting the funeral house to console the bereaved family despite her busy scheduled.

The late Mr. Mulimba will be put to rest in Sandwe village of Petauke District on Tuesday the 7th of April soon after the church service at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross.
