Political stakeholders have role to absorb tension – Kalumba

Former Finance Minister Katele Kalumba has stressed the importance of accepting the role that political leadership plays in creating positive sentiments in the real economy of a country.

Dr. Kalumba is of the view that it cannot be expected that investors will be excited about coming to invest in Zambia if they perceive a sense of tension.

He has told Qfm News that this is why he keeps appealing to political stakeholders to find some mechanism for diffusing the current tension and misunderstandings in the country.

Dr. Kalumba states that political stakeholders should realize that it is their role in a democracy to absorb such tension by using dialogue.
