Civil society organizations implored to realign constitutions

Civil society organizations in the fight against corruption have been implored to realign their constitutions with what is prevailing in the country.

The Zambia Youths Association in the Fight Against (ZYAFAC) believes that the civil society organization should not only been seen to be pushing government to enact a new constitution but should also begin to promote what they preach.

Executive Director Rickson Kanema has told Qfm News that this is why his organization has to this effect particularly decided to revise its constitution with the view of addressing the current issues that are obtaining in the country.

Mr. Kanema says his organization wants to have a constitution that effectively responds to the sophisticated levels which corruption has now reached in the country.

He has disclosed that ZYAFAC further wants its new constitution to have a provision which compel to start recognizing outstanding leaders in the country who have acted exemplary in the fact against corruption.
