Cabinet approves new Board for NAC

Cabinet has approved the appointment of new members to serve on the Zambia Medicine Regulatory Authority (ZAMRA) Board.

Acting Chief Government Spokesperson Vincent Mwale has told a media briefing in Lusaka today that Cabinet also approved the appointment of new members to serve on the National Health Research Authority Council which is expected to put in place an effective national health ethics system by ensuring that health research conducted in the country is relevant and well coordinated.

Mr. Mwale who is Youth and Sport Minister adds that Cabinet further approved the appointment of new members of the General Nursing Council of Zambia board following the expiry of the tenure of office for the previous board.

He also disclosed that the appointments of new members of the National Aids Council and the Health Professionals Council of Zambia boards were also approved.

Mr. Mwale further states Cabinet has also approved the Forest Bill 2015 for publication and introduction in Parliament during the next sitting in June 2015.
