ZYAFAC urges Lungu to follow through fuel probe

Republican President Edgar Lungu has been called upon to follow through to its logical conclusion the investigation he ordered into forces behind the recent fuel shortage in the country.

Zambia Youths Association in the Fight Against Corruption (ZYAFAC) wants President Lungu to ensure a thorough investigation is done which should result in culprits behind the fuel crisis being brought to book.

Executive Director Rickson Kanema says this will act as a deterrent measure to would perpetrators of sabotage to the flow of such an essential commodity in the economy of the country.

Mr. Kanema has told Qfm News by telephone that his organization believes the culprits should not be allowed to go scot free especially that fuel is the driver of any country’s economy.

Mr. Kanema says ZYAFAC is therefore calling upon the relevant law enforcement agencies to pursue the President’s order to its logical end.
