Women’s Lobby urges Media to respect women

The Zambia National Women’s Lobby (ZNWL) has advised the Zambian people and the media especially to respect women in the country.

ZNWL Board Chairperson Beauty Katebe says the continued trend by some sections of the media to publish female nude pictures does not show respect for the women in the country.

Ms. Katebe notes that every woman in the world deserves respect regardless of their status or what they have done in society.

She adds that women are very important beings and without them, men would not have been in existence thus the need for men to respect them.

Ms. Katebe says women play very important roles not only in homes, but in the society noting that without women, society would not be what it is today.

She stresses that people should also mind the language they use when addressing or talking to women.

Ms Katema has further advised women themselves to also conduct themselves in a way that will earn them respect from their male counterparts and the society as a whole.
