The Zambia under-23 national team bench has something to smile about, with news that winger Bruce Musakanya is fit to face Nigeria in the two sides’ Congo-Brazzaville 2015 All-Africa Games qualifier.

Zambia will host Nigeria in a final round qualifier decider on April 11 at National Heroes Stadium in Lusaka.

The Red Arrows and Zambia winger missed the first leg match on March 22 away in Abuja due to a hamstring injury that also saw him side-lined from league action after two rounds of games played in the 2015 Faz Super League season.

Zambia Under-23 coach Fighton Simukonda said he was very delighted to have Musakanya available for the must-win game.

“Bruce Musakanya is back in training his recovered from an injury,” Simukonda said.

His availability brings to five senior player’s eligible for Under-23 selection next weekend’s qualifier.

Others are defender Emmanuel Mbola and striker Evans Kangwa of Israeli club Hapoel Ra’anana including striker Ronald Kampamba from Egyptian club Wadi Degla.

Nchanga Rangers goalkeeper Toaster Nsabata is the other player.

“Having the likes of Mbola and Evans will definitely boost morale in camp these are experienced players and will change the game,” Simukonda said.

The two sides head into the final leg goalless and the winner next week will qualify to the All-Africa Games to be hosted by Congo-Brazzaville from September 4-19.
