ZNWL hails govt’s commitment in addressing GBV

Zambia National Women’s Lobby (ZNWL) has hailed government’s commitment to addressing Gender Based Violence through establishment of Fast Track Courts to deal with Gender Based Violence.

Women’s Lobby Chairperson Beauty Katebe says the move is a step in the right direction especially that women have always been victims of all forms of abuse.

Ms Katebe says her organization is happy with the bold steps government has continued to take in efforts to fight GVB in the country.

She says operationalization of fast track courts will make it easy for GBV cases to be dealt with expeditiously before the victims can have second thoughts of withdrawing the cases.

Ms Katebe the Zambia National Women’s Lobby will continue to support government in ensuring that the plight of women is protected at all costs.
