Lack of research attributed to policy inconsistencies under PF govt

The continued policy inconsistencies under the Patriotic Front government have been attributed to lack of research on the part of policy makers.

The Zambian Voice believes if Parliamentarians and Ministers in particular conducted research before passing laws the current trend where a number of policy pronouncements have had to be reserved would be avoided.

Executive Director Chilufya Tayali says his organization is of the view that this culture of passing laws for the sake of it or on the basis of a political party that a lawmaker belongs must come to an end.

Mr. Tayali has told Qfm News that Parliamentarians must from now on start doing research as well as consult widely before supporting enactment of any law.

He says this is the only way the Zambian Voice thinks the country will avoid being in precarious situations with respects to the policy pronouncement made by government.
