Contractor association urges exposure of ‘shoddy-works constractors’

The National Association of Medium and Small Scale Contractors has challenged stakeholders complaining of shoddy works by some contractors to expose such contractors.

Association President Mutale Mpepo says it is unfair to simply say contractors are doing shoddy works without disclosing the names of such contractors who are denting the image of the construction the country.

Mr. Mpepo has challenged economist Oliver Saasa to name the contractors that have been doing shoddy works in the country instead of putting the names of contractors in disrepute.

He says he is disappointed with some the allegations some stakeholders are making against the small scale contractors on account of shoddy works.

Mr. Mpepo has however accused Chinese contractors of being behind most of the shoddy works government has been complaining about such as roads.
