Mungo calls for change of strategy in preventing youths against HIV

Aspiring candidate for Munali Constituency Member of Parliament Patrick Mungo has attributed the high levels of HIV prevalence in urban areas to high levels of poverty and unemployment.

Mr. Mungo has told QFM News in an interview that the only solution to prevent young people from contracting HIV is by empowering them with something.

Mr. Mungo notes that best world economies like the USA and UK do not depend on employment by government but by the private sector saying that is why HIV prevalence rates are low.

He says the Zambian government should consider formulating policies that will be favorable to the international community in a bid to attract direct foreign investment.

Mr. Mungo says government must at all costs promote foreign investment so that youths will have things to do and not engage themselves in negative vices.
