A Catholic Priest, from Mpika District in Muchinga Province, has advised the opposition political parties in the county not to be quick in criticizing government saying they have to be patient with government.

St Andrews Assistant Parish Priest in Charge Father Jeff Mutale has told QFM News by telephone that it is worrying that the opposition political parties are too quick to criticize government, the situation he has described as sad.

Father Mutale says this is a period of transition for the PF government who need to feel the support of the opposition and not to criticize everything the government is doing.

Father Mutale says the opposition should also provide solutions to challenges the country is facing instead of condemning everything the party in office is doing.

He says the church will always be there to provide leadership and putting the country in prayers so that everything in the country is doing in a logical manner.

Father Mutale says the recent fuel shortages in some parts of the country so the opposition condemning government but never provided solutions.

He says it is for this reason he feels that the opposition and other relevant stakeholders must always be there to support the government as the PF government strives to meet most of the promises they made to the people.
