Nkana coach Beston Chambeshi says he is very disappointed to have stated the 2015 Faz Super League season with a defeat.

The record twelve-time Zambian champions lost 1-0 at home to Red Arrows on Sunday at Nkana Stadium in Kitwe.

Sunday’s defeat was also Nkana’s second successive league loss to Arrows who beat them 2-0 at the same venue towards the close of the 2014 season last November.

“I think it is a bad start considering the way we prepared for the first game,” Chambeshi said.

“But I am happy with the way the boys played. You know in football they say the best team loses.”

Chambeshi added that his backing his striker’s to deliver as Nkana adjusts to life without the prolific Ronald Kampamba who joined Egyptian club Wadi Degla in February on a two-and-half-year deal in February after four seasons with the Kitwe side.

“We scored a lot of goals in the pre-season but today we were in a hurry we need to be patient,” Chambeshi said.

“But I am happy with the attack they attacked very well but all that is missing is the killer punch.”

The result also left Nkana without a competitive win from two games so far this season after losing 5-4 on post-match penalties to Zesco United in the 2015 Charity Shield semi-finals on February 22.
