ZABS calls for certification of all products sold on Zambian market

The Zambia Bureau of Standards (ZABS) has implored food manufacturers in Zambia to certify their products with it in order that consumers can make informed choices about the quality of products that they buy and eat.

ZABS Head of Marketing and Public Relations Hazel Zulu says manufacturers have a critical role to play in promoting a healthy diet for the people.

Ms. Zulu says manufacturers can only ascertain this by subjecting their products to quality tests and certification with ZABS.

She notes that in commemorating World Consumer Rights Day, ZABS has particularly urged manufacturers to adhere to good manufacturing practices.
