Lungu’s popularity has been preserved – Bwalya

The opposition Alliance for Better Zambia (ABZ) has observed that the manner that President Edgar Lungu’s illness has been handled has helped to preserve his popularity.

ABZ president Frank Bwalya says the transparency that has surrounded the health of President Lungu from the time he fell ill to date has in fact won the President respect and sympathy from the people.

Father Bwalya notes the President is now being looked at as rare specie of Presidents.

He says this is why his party thinks any attempts by some sections of society who allegedly want people to lose confidence in President Lungu and ruling Patriotic Front (PF) will not work.

The ABZ leader has appealed to his fellow opposition leaders to support the Head of State in the interest of the country.

He states that the President should be wished good health.
