Islamic Council advises Media to serve interest of nation

The Islamic Council of Zambia has advised the media in the country to become more focused on serving the interest of the nation as opposed to that of individuals.

Council President Suzyo Zimba says the media must try by all means to be objective and promote peace.

Mr.Zimba notes that in its operations the media should always keep it in mind that Zambia is bigger than just an individual or a group of individuals

He says his council is forthwith calling upon the media to stop the spread mischief.

Mr. Zimba states that the media should instead commit itself to preserving the country’s democracy and unity.
