FODEP Executive Director MacDonald Chipenzi says politicians by now should have acquainted themselves with the electoral code of conduct and avoid any reasons of bringing confusion during the by-election.

Mr. Chipenzi says the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) also has a huge task ahead of them in ensuring that political players follow the laid down procedure during and after campaigns.

He says it will be unacceptable if cases of violence will be recorded in any of the places expected to hold by-election stating that Zambia should mature from recording such things.

Mr. Chipenzi has since appealed to politicians to ensure that they tell their cadres to refrain from any form of violence and engage in issue based campaigns.
