The Zambia Bureau of Standards (ZABS) has urged youths in business to use standards in product development and ensure that their products are certified by ZABS.
ZABS Head of Marketing and Public Relations Hazel Zulu says as the country joins the rest of the world in commemorating Youth Day, ZABS recognizes youths as an integral partner in promoting industrialization and job creation.
Ms. Zulu says youth entrepreneurs can take advantage of the standards that ZABS offer so that they can manufacture products that will be safe and of good quality and will compete favorably on both the local and international market.
She stresses that standards play a pivotal role in business enhancement as it helps the manufacturer to produce products that are safe and of the required standard.
Ms. Zulu further states that on the other hand, youths in businesses should ensure that they certify their products with ZABS to give their customers assurance of product quality and safety and to boost their businesses stressing that viable business will promote economic growth.
