Islamic Council of Zambia President Suzyo Zimba has advised youths to realize their importance in the country.
Mr. Zimba says even as youths celebrate their day today, it is important that they begin to conduct themselves in a way that is acceptable and gives confidence to the old people that they can be capable leaders.
Mr. Zimba notes that youths should stay away from activities that would endanger their lives but engage themselves in productive activities that will enable them to contribute meaningfully to national development.
He however adds that the challenge is on the government to help the young people in the country to find something to do by creating more jobs for them as well as empowering them with entrepreneurship skills.
Mr. Zimba further states that government should continue to involve youths in decision making processes so that they gain the experience so that they may be able to run the country when their time comes.
