Zambia Development Agency (ZDA) has urged companies operating in the country to step up their efforts in contributing to job creation and industrialization.
ZDA Director General Patrick Chisanga notes that though many companies that have invested in Zambia are contributing to the country’s economy much more still needs to be done.
Mr. Chisanga says shaping the country’s future and employment creation should be done with the help of all relevant stakeholders.
He explains that so far, the mining and construction industries and the agriculture sector have shown the potential to contribute positively to Zambia’s economic growth.
Mr. Chisanga adds that ZDA is proud with some companies that have taken their corporate social responsibility seriously as this has tremendously helped to shape the faces of the towns in which they operate.
