Zambia Youth Association in the Fight Against Corruption (ZYAFAC) has added its voice in condemning some sections of the media that have mockingly been covering President Edgar Lungu’s illness.
ZYAFAC Executive Director Rickson Kanema in a statement says there is no human being who chooses to get sick but that sickness can strike anyone at any time.
Mr Kanema says it is shocking that to mock the Head of State’s illness especially that he was not only elected to preside over the affairs of the PF but the affairs of the over 14 million Zambians hence his illness is a serious matter which requires compassion from all well meaning Zambians.
Mr Kanema has called on all well meaning Zambians to stand together and condemn such shameful and inhuman kind of reporting.
He says if not checked such acts have the potential to corrupt morals of society especially the youths into believing that such is the right way of reporting events.
