Metal, nonmetal exports need strong monitoring mechanism- Dodia

The Private Sector Development Association of Zambia (PSDA) president Yusuf Dodia says government should put strong monitoring mechanism for metal and nonmetal exports.

Mr. Dodia says currently the government has no monitoring mechanism and only depends on data given by my mining companies.

Mr. Dodia has also expressed worry that the country has recorded a decline in the total value of Zambia’s metal export from 4.2 billion recorded in December to 2.6 billion recorded in January 2014.

The Central Statistics Office has disclosed that the country has recorded a declined from 4.2 million recorded in December, 2014 to 2.6 million in January 2015.
