Lungu to go for specialized treatment abroad

Medical Doctors tending President Edgar Lungu’s illness have recommended that he undergoes a high-tech medical procedure which is currently not available in Zambia.

This means that President Lungu will have travel abroad for specialized treatment.

This is according to the second medical bulletin released by his Special Assistant for Press and Public Relations Amos Chanda.

President Lungu is said to have a history Achalasia which is a condition of the narrowing of the food pipe.

This condition is said to have been corrected 30 years ago at the University Teaching Hospital (UTH), but is suspected to have recurred.

A team of senior doctors comprising physicians, surgeons, pathologists, and radiologists, reviewed these findings and recommended immediate correction of this condition.

This statement has been authorized by Dr. Dorothy Kasonde and Dr. Dave Kishore on behalf the doctors attending to President Lungu.
