Fast Track court to hear 125 drivers this week

About one hundred and twenty five (125) drivers are this week expected to appear before the Lusaka Fast Track court for various traffic offences.

And the Lusaka Fast Track court on Traffic offences has convicted and suspended a drivers license for two years for a Lusaka based businessman for dangerous driving contrary to section 155 of the Road Traffic Act number 11 of 2002.

Magistrate Fydis Hamaundu fined Mr Jama Said Abdizalan K3, 000.00 and suspended his driving license for two years.

Particulars of the offence are that Jama Said Abdizalan on the 4thof March,2015 did drive a motor vehicle namely Toyota Noah registration number ALM 369 on a public road namely Lubambe road on the opposite lane in a manner Dangerous to the public and other road users.

The Road Transport and Safety Agency and the Judiciary signed a Memorandum of Understanding to roll out the Fast Track Courts on Traffic Offences.
