Lungu appoints Mulusa as one of his aides

Republican President Edgar Lungu has appointed former Solwezi Central MMD Member of Parliament Lucky Mulusa as Special Assistant to the President for Project Monitoring and Implementation.

And President Lungu has also appointed Daniel Siwo and Flatela Msimuko as his Private Secretaries.

Speaking to journalists shortly after the swearing in ceremony at State House this morning, Mr. Mulusa says there is need to find out why certain prMulusaojects are abandoned and why funds delay to be released.

Mr. Mulusa says he will ensure that the challenges the country faces in the implementation of the budget are dealt with so that projects can be completed on time.

Mr. Mulusa states that there is need for the country to realize that inability to complete projects effectively and efficiently is a huge cost to the public.

And Mr. Mulusa, who refused to state clearly if he has left the MMD for PF, says he is a civil servant and not obligated to talk politics anymore.

He says he is a Rupiah Banda boy but respects MMD President Nevers Mumba whom he says was duly elected MMD President.

The former Solwezi Central Lawmaker says he will keep to himself his private political affiliations considering that he is now a civil servant.
