PF youths lock up Kazungula District Council offices

Patriotic Front (PF) youths have locked up Kazungula District Council offices in protest against Council Secretary Winston Kasonkomona whom they have accused of working against the ruling party.

The youths who in the recent past have demonstrated against top District Council officials for alleged incompetence have also accused Mr. Kasonkomona of being corrupt.

Speaking on behalf of the youths, PF Kazungula district vice youth Chairperson Lufunda Limbalambala has told Qfm News by telephone that the protesting youths want Mr. Kasonkomona replaced because he has also been doing his own things without the involvement of other Council officials.

Bishop Limbalambala says the ruling party youths are requesting that former District Council Secretary Raphael Zulu be brought back to take over from Mr. Kasonkomona.

He says this is because they believe Mr. Zulu is the right person that can ably finish the developmental projects that have been initiated under the PF government.
