Alliance for better Zambia president father frank Bwalya says he is surprised by the statement issued by t the grand coalition spokesperson MacDonald Chipenzi countering his party’s alleged suggestion that having a referendum as means of adopting the country’s new constitution will be waste of time and resources.
Father Bwalya has told Qfm news that he feels that the statement by Mr. Chipenzi is not true and cannot no go unchallenged.
Father Bwalya explains that he will engage the Grand Coalition chairperson and others who he feels are not part of what Mr. Chipenzi is portraying.
He has since maintained that his party has withdrawn its membership from the grand coalition.
On Saturday yesterday Grand Coalition spokesperson MacDonald Chipenzi disclosed that the ABZ leader was requested to excuse himself at recently held meeting because of his stance on the constitution during the election campaigns where he allegedly said that the holding of a national referendum as a means of adopting a new constitution was a waste of time and resources, which statement was a breach of the fundamental principles of the Grand Coalition.
