Dynamos name team to face Al Khartoum

Power Dynamos have named six new faces in their 20-member travelling party to face Al Khartoum SC of Sudan in this weekend’s 2015 Caf Confederation Cup preliminary round, first leg match.

The new faces include striker Luka Lungu who returns three years after he left Power to join DR Congo club Don Bosco.

Also back is defender Christopher Munthali who has spent the last two seasons on loaPower Dynamosn at Power’s Kitwe archrivals Nkana.

Other newcomers to the team are defenders Derrick Mwansa from promoted Nkwazi and White Mwanambaba from Napsa Stars.

Midfielders Kelvin Mubanga and Larry Bwalya complete the list of new recruits heading to Sudan with Power this week.

Meanwhile, Power have just completed a week-long training camp in Kenya where they played three friendly matches, beating Gor Mahia 3-0, losing 1-0 to Sofapaka and drawing 2-2 with Nakumat FC.

“Power will now travel directly from Kenya on February 15,” Power club secretary Ricky Mamfunda said.

Al Khartoum will host Power this Saturday in Khartoum while the return leg will be played in Kitwe on February 28.

Defenders: Govender Simwala, Billy mutale, Christopher Munthali, Lawrence Chungu, White Mwanambaba, Derrick Mwansa.

Midfielders: Larry Bwalya, Kennedy Mudenda, Kelvin Mubanga, Thomas Nyirenda, Emmanuel Chimpinde, Richard Kasonde, Julius Situmbeko

Strikers: Alex Ngonga, Jimmy Ndhlovu, Luka Lungu, Ignatius Lwipa.
