Don’t abandon Sata’s projects, YALI urges Lungu

The Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) has appealed to President Lungu to ensure that the projects that were started by President Sata especially that of putting up a university in every province of the country.

YALI President Andrew Nthewewe says they expect that all the universities will be completed by 2016 so that young people can have spaces citing that President Sata had put so much emphasise on building universities.

Mr. Nthewewe notes that the University of Zambia has a lot of challenges thus it is important that the idea of building universities around the country comes to fruition.

He adds that with many universities in the country, many young people will have access to higher learning education which in turn will work for the benefit of not only young people but the country as a whole.

Mr. Nthewewe further states that when many young people have access to higher education, it will help them to effectively contribute to national development and also help in reducing the high levels of poverty.
