The Forum for Democracy and Development (FDD) says President Edgar Lungu should address the social, economic and political challenges in the country as he seeks to raise the country’s profile.

FDD Spokesperson Antonio Mwanza says in the last three years of the Patriotic Front government, the confidence of both bilateral and multilateral partners in the country has been eroded.

Mr. Mwansa however, notes that the President Lungu’s statement that he will spend much of the time moving up and down to try to raise the profile of the country is a wrong approach.

He says it is not moving around that will control the many things that have gone wrong in the country.

Mr Mwanza adds that the profile of the nation can only be raised by dealing with issues in the country that have portrayed a wrong picture to the outside world, and that it is those local issues that have made the country lose its profile.

He says the President has a lot of work to do especially when it comes to instilling confidence in foreign investors that may have lost confidence in the country after the elections and the events that happened prior to the elections.

Mr Mwanza has further advised President Lungu to come up with good policies that will help attract investors to the country.
