Patriotic Front Secretary General Davies Chama says he is very mindful when issuing party statements which he says are not part of government’s activities.

Responding to Forum for Democracy and Development Spokesperson Antonio Mwanza’s statement that he is a party cadre who does not want to separate party activities to that of government, Mr. Chama says all the statements he has issued are purely party programs.

Mr. Chama says he has never spoken on behalf of government because he understands his role as party Secretary General very well.

He adds that people should not misunderstand him because he knows how to separate powers.

And Mr. Chama says people should not complain about President Lungu going on holiday because he deserves to rest after the campaigns leading to the presidential by-election.

He states that President Lungu knows that he has to work but needs to refresh his mind so that he effectively delivers to the people of Zambia.
