It’s malicious – Mwamba

Patriotic Front Media Committee Chairperson Emmanuel Mwamba has dismissed as malicious a story running on online media that he has rejected an appointment from President Edgar Lungu as an Ambassador.

Mr Mwamba has told QFM News that the story has no foundation whatsoever, but a creation of very desperate people.

Mr Mwamba says such stories are designed to bring confusion in the PF and cause a rift between President Lungu and his workers.

He adds that it is the preserve of the President to make all appointments, and that those insinuating that he has refused an appointment from the President simply do not understand Statecraft and State institutions.

Mr Mwamba says he is aware that the UPND infrastructure has heightened alleged malicious campaigns against the PF and him personally because they blame him for their electoral defeat.

He states that he is not surprised by the relentless attacks and fabrications being peddled against him by the UPND.

He points out that during the last meeting at the Electoral Commission of Zambia, the UPND and its leader Hakainde Hichilema made him a focus of his electoral problems and his failure to win the election.

Mr Mwamba says attacks on him have gone to the extent of threatening his life and his family.
