Poverty will continue hindering graft fight – EYAI

Evangelical Youth Alliance International (EYAI) has observed that for as long as poverty levels continue to be high in Zambia, fighting corruption will remain a nightmare.

EYAI Executive Director Reverend Moses Lungu says he appreciates the concerns being raised by various stakeholders on President Edgar Lungu to state his position on corruption.

Reverend Lungu notes that fighting corruption is key to having a transparent governance system in any country.

He says it is in this regard that he does not see the need for anyone to panic, but be patient and wait for President Lungu to state his position on fight against corruption.

Reverend Lungu explains that he personally feels President Lungu has so far shown commitment to addressing issues affecting the country, adding that it is only important for Zambians to give him time to put his house in order.

Reverend Lungu has since appealed to the Republican President not to lose track but listen to the people and move swiftly to address their challenges.
