Bear the consequences of your actions,Mulongoti tells political ‘rebels’

People’s Party President Mike Mulongoti says members of political parties who endorsed the candidature of their rival parties in the just ended presidential election should bear the consequences of their actions.

Mr Mulongoti has told QFM News that politicians should learn to be loyal to their political parties regardless of what their parties are going through.Mulongoti

He says it is the duty of every political party member to help find solutions to the challenges of their parties and not ditch them at the time of need.

Mr Mulongoti states that each and every political party has its own differences, but that what is important is how such differences are handled.

He says political party members who endorsed other candidates in the presidential election will regret their actions.

Mr Mulongoti has however appealed to political leaders whose members endorsed other candidates in the presidential election not to be vengeful.

The MMD has expelled all its members who endorsed the candidatures of PF President Edgar Lungu and UPND’s Hakainde Hichilema in the presidential election of 20th January.

The PF has also instituted disciplinary action against its members who supported UPND president Hakainde Hichilema in the presidential election.

On other hand, former Southern Province Minister Daniel Munkombwe has renounced his membership of the PF before he could face disciplinary action for endorsing the UPND Leader’s candidature in the by-election.
