HH’s claim victory was stolen from him is political gimmick – ABZ

The opposition ABZ has described as political gimmick UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema’s widely publicized claim that victory in last week’s presidential election was stolen from him.

The ABZ thinks that this alleged political gimmick is only meant to portray Mr. Hichilema as being a victim of electoral fraud.

ABZ president Frank Bwalya says this is especially that Mr. Hichilema is on record to have said he was not going to concede defeat long before Zambians even went to the polls.

In a statement to Qfm News Father Bwalya says his party is of the view Mr Hichilema’s decision to cry foul in the futile hope is also meant that he can attract a sympathy vote in the 2016 tripartite elections.

Father Bwalya states that the ABZ is therefore happy the Zambian public has decided to ignore Mr Hichilema’s cry that his votes were stolen.

He notes that truth of the matter is that the UPND leader was beaten clean in an election that has been described by Zambian and credible international observers as free and fair and devoid of rampant electoral violence.

The ABZ president is thus urging Mr Hichilema to stop his alleged usual bad habit of pursing innocent people at the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) who he has accused of stealing his votes by manufacturing figures.

He says Zambians are sick and tired of his unbecoming behavior of maliciously accusing innocent people of crimes they have not committed.

The opposition leader has since commended Zambian and international stakeholders for ignoring Mr Hichilema’s alleged crocodile tears.

He says Mr. Hichilema should in this respect keep his hopes modest to avoid an heart attack.
