Former Tourism Minister William Harrington has noted the need for Zambia’s tourism industry to become more competitive in the region.

Mr. Harrington says Zambia’s tourism industry is currently prohibitive.

He has told Qfm News that this is despite the country having numerous tourist attractions.

Mr. Harrington says there is need to therefore work on making it easy for both local and foreign tourists.

He has proposed that the country should follow the example of countries such as Mauritius that have done away with the entry restrictions of VISAs.
